Update Spring 2015. My new YouTube channels

I am redesigning my website: www.fewdoit.com
This work is in progress. First I am going to make all changes on the English website. And only after that I will apply the same changes to the Russian version of fewdoit.com

Also, I made separate YouTube video channels for new videos.
Please subscribe to stay updated!

New balloon animals video instructions in Russian at:

It seems that I have to upload all balloon instructions to the same one channel - apparently YouTube  computerized system is ... not so smart after all :( It prevents me from uploading the same videos in different language to different YouTube channels.

Update for March 2014 Larger size images, Russian Captions

I finally finished updates that I've been working from the last year!
You will find increased size of all images on my blog http://balloonotherapy.blogspot.com/
The size of images is about 3 times larger than it was originally in the first publication of "Balloon-O-Therapy". The increase of size does not affect amount of data transfer! It makes it very cool ;)
Also, I translated captions to Russian for all my balloon instruction videos. So, now viewers of my YouTube channel may choose captions in English or Russian.
Have fun and happy twisting :)

I put together web pages with links in Russian and Spanish.

animales del globo

I put together a web page in Spanish with links to all balloon twisting instructions in English. The main purpose of this work is to give Spanish speaking users easier way to navigate through instructions. I don't speak Spanish, that is why I use google translate to give names to all instructions in Spanish. There are probably a lot of grammar and spelling mistakes. I hardly can fixed it at this moment. Nevertheless I hope this little work may help you.
Have fun and happy twisting :)

Update October 2013. Subtitles for all videos.

Here is the link to video update on YouTube:
http://youtu.be/ouTdZqsljQE

English Captions to all previously published video instructions from fewdoit available on YouTube! Ta-da!! This work took a lot of energy and months of time. It could never be done without the help of amara.org-I use their amazing software to create all subtitles. And my hearty thanks to all contributors! Every bit of your help is greatly appreciated. Thank you all. The importance of making captions is...well, it is way beyond helping some people with disabilities. Put simply, sooner or later everyone use subtitles, including you! ...watch this video to estimate how old your ears are.
There is ongoing work on creating Russian subtitles. It will take much longer to translate and get it published. Sometime within the next couple of years, hopefully, it will be ready. Creating subtitles in other languages is up to you!
Also, as a part of this update, I renamed many videos and removed lower quality duplicates from YouTube. Unfortunately, those videos were some of the first that I published. I have no ways of preserving comments to those videos.
Have fun and happy twisting :)

Update July 2013, Russian Translations

Many many thanks to my best friend, beautiful woman, mother of my kids, and my lovely wife Victoria Langerman for making Russian translations of balloon twisting instructions. It took enormous amounts of her energy to translate 250 instructions in such short time (6 months).

You can find all instructions in Russian at dedicated blog: http://fewdoitrussian.blogspot.com/
Also, you can find a link to Russian translation at the beginning of each instruction in English (and vice versa).
And all links to Russian translated instructions available at https://sites.google.com/site/modeliruemizsarikov/

Please note, I am going to make Russian captions for all video instructions on YouTube only after I finish work with English captions. Most likely it may happen in 2014. Though you may and are very welcome to help make captions for video instructions in any language :) Just follow the link to amara.org in description to YouTube videos.

Have fun and happy twisting :)

Update for May 2013

I placed google advertisement instead of donation button on all my blogs and website.
This way I ended my short term experiment with donation buttons that yelled kinda obvious results.
Have to admit that in past I had some negative experience with advertisements on my website. But, it seems working better this time.
I honestly think that ads do not turn visitors away from my publications or affect anyhow greatly users experience. And there is ways to block all ads with extensions.
Have fun and happy twisting :)

Update

CC0
The last three weeks I was busy updating design of all my published blog post. I changed background color on the blog posts, fixed some minor errors. And most importantly, I added timer to each instruction. You can find the timer at the end (bottom line of the post) of each instruction. I wrote it using HTML and JavaScript. The stand alone timer is published here. The code of the timer is available here (as every thing that I publish it goes under public domain dedication license, so you can use/ post it on your webpages without any limitations). The timer starts automatically once the page is fully loaded. The timer should work in any modern browsers supporting JavaScript.

I think that timer on webpages is important for number of reasons. It gives you idea on how much time you spend on each particular web page. You can use it to estimate how much time it takes for you to make the balloon sculpture. Also, just seen the timer (or any clock for this point) helps people get back to reality (for this reason you may not find any clocks or even windows in most casinos-they want you to stay in!). Internet is a wonderful and very powerful tool in your hands. Use it to make your world better-get back to reality! Have fun and happy twisting :)

Update

Finally I got response from Yahoo on my question about video uploads.
Yahoo! Customer care answer: "We no longer accept video submissions". So long to associated content-one of the best and my favorite online content hosting service.

Well, as you may know, I also upload all videos on Youtube, Archive.com, and Blip.tv
You can find links to each video on the post page.

Below you find pictures that I want to use in the next update for the game.

Update

I have embedded YouTube videos in all corresponding blog posts. This way you can watch video instruction directly at the blog post page.
Currently, Yahoo is not supporting video uploads to Voice Yahoo service (former Associated content). Therefore, I don't have the option to upload new videos to this service.
Facebook? I am too tired of constant changes in design, policy and etc. Most importantly, I prefer to use networks with free access (no log ins) -Facebook tends to lock users in. So, for now I postpone publishing video instructions on Facebook until Facebook team change it in favor of Open Internet.
