Materials: a deck of cards.

I have to warn you that this trick is a very simple. It does not require any special skills. Well, you need some basic knowledge of elementary school math. And the most importantly, keep it in mind, any attempt to show this trick to the same people more than once will reveal the secret of your magic!
The secret.
We are going to find a chosen card just by serving the deck of cards! Actually we will use only 21 cards. Shuffle the deck. Or even better, let your audience to shuffle the deck. Then tell your audience that you are going to serve cards face up on a table. Ask a person (your victim) to choose a card. The person should not reveal the chosen card to you (the magician). The person may let other people to know the card, or probably write it down on a paper and hide the paper from the magician. For purpose of this instruction only we will use a joker as the chosen card (Pic 1). It could be any card in the deck of 21 cards.

We serve cards in three piles of seven cards each, face up. Serve one card at a time to each pile. Let’s put the first card on the table (Pic 2). In this example it happens to be the chosen card. Remember, the chosen card can be anywhere in the deck. During the real performance you (the magician) will learn the chosen card only at the very end of the trick.

Place the second card at the right next to the first card (Pic 3).

Place the third card at the right next to the second card (Pic 4). That’s how we start the three piles.

We place the rest of the cards on the top following the same order. Place the fourth card on the top of the first card. Make sure to keep open the face of the bottom cards (Pic 5).

Place the fifth card on the top of the second card (Pic 6).

Place the sixth card on the top of the third card (Pic 7).

Serve all 21 cards in the same fashion (Pic 8). Remove all other cards away from the table. Now it is time to remind the person to choose a card without revealing the card to you.

Square each pile of seven cards nicely. It's very important to keep the cards in each pile in the same order as you have served them in the pile. Ask the person to point on the pile with the chosen card (Pic 9).

Put all three piles together in one deck. It is very important to place the pile with the chosen card inside of the deck. Place the pile with the chosen card on top of the other pile (Pic 10).

Place the third pile on the top of the deck (Pic 11).

Square the deck (Pic 12). We have to keep all cards in the deck in this order. Do not shuffle or cut the deck!

Now we have to serve the deck of 21 cards in the same fashion as we did previously. Tell the person that you are going to serve the deck again in the same way. Ask the person to look for the chosen card. Place the top (first) card from the deck face up on the table. Place the next card from top of the deck next to the first card on the table (Pic 13).

Place the third card next to the second card (Pic 14).

Serve the rest of the deck in the same fashion (Pic 15). Ask the person if s/he see the choosen card. The person should not reveal the card to you.

Once the person confirm that s/he see the card, square each pile of seven cards nicely. Again, it's very important to keep the cards in each pile in the same order as you have served them in the pile. Ask the person to point on the pile with the chosen card (Pic 16).

Put all three piles together in one deck in the same way as we did previously. Place the pile with the chosen card on the top of other pile (Pic 17).

Place the third pile on the top of the deck (Pic 18). Square the deck.

We have to serve the deck of 21 cards the third time in the same fashion as we did previously (Pic 19 and 20).

Ask the person to look for the chosen card.

Square each pile. Ask the person to point on the pile with the chosen card (Pic 21).

Take the pile with the chosen card in your hand (Pic 22). Make some magic passes with your other hand over the pile. Hide the pile behind your back. Say magic words abracadabrabarabum and …

Here is the secret. If you served all 21 cards three times as described above then the chosen card is always the fourth card in the pile (Pic 23). Count the fourth card from ether side of the pile behind your back. Reveal the chosen card to the person immediately after saying the magic words. Attention again, any attempt to show this trick to the same person (audience) will reveal the secret! Have fun and happy twisting :)
